The 200 APX is designed specifically to do battle on UIM F2 and APBA OPC tunnel boat circuits and international endurance events, where racers run Wide Open for the win.

The New Breed: How we make power: A 3.4-liter V6 powerhead and deep-breathing double overhead cam/four-valve architecture is tuned to wind up to 6800 rpm. Compression ratio is boosted to 11:1. A heavy dose of dense, cool air is ducted directly to the intake.An evolved Mercury Racing Super Speed Master (IV SSM) outboard gearcase is direct-drive with no neutral or reverse shifting.90% Lower Exhaust Emissions Than the Legacy Two-Stroke Racing Engines: The four-stroke Mercury Racing 200 APX reduces exhaust emissions by 90 percent compared to a two-stroke racing outboard of similar performance.
